CAN I TELL YOU A STORY WITHOUT TELLING YOU MY NAME?
We can do things you only dream of- there were twelve of us when I started eighth grade.
In a day I went from falling asleep in class to primed for sudden danger as Ms. Ceres, teacher and mentalist, takes us under her wing. She won't tell us why. Not even when my power unlocks memories banished for a decade from her mind.
We have no clue who we're fighting for, or against. But we are trained to fight (and let me tell you, getting thrown across a room is a mood).
We learn, we scuffle, we bond, we are probed and tested- until the sacrifice.
And when we finally hear the answers, one is left blank: What is bravery?
